MACHINE DESCRIPTION:
• All main machine components are in cast iron: monolithic bow, bow support with hinge pin, centring ring, reducer box, vice base and vice carriage.
• Bow rotation for angled cuts from 0 to 60° left with pre-set stops at 45° & 60°,graduated ruler , mechanical stops and lever for intermediate position.
• Steel resting base with groove for band. Base turns together with bow so it can support parts even when making angled cuts.
• Deep angled opening on vice base to improve swarf discharge.
• 2-speed three-phase motor (0.75-1.1 kW) – transmission carried out by means of screw/ring reducer with 1:40 ratio for cutting speeds 29-58 m/min – (The SINGLE-PHASE version features only 1 speed with 2.2 Kw).
• Bow angle, blade length and fly-wheel diameter have been calculated to limit band yield and increase its life span.
• Spring-driven Mechanical blade-tightening device to ensure stretching is uniform and constant.
• 19mm band supported by two bladeguides with hard metal plaques, adjustable according to dimensions of part to be cut.
• Electropump for cooling of band with lubrication oil.
• Adjustable mechanical vice unit with handwheel for gradual approach and lever for rapid clamping.
• Accident preventing safety devices: flywheel guards which stop motor when opened, blade protection guards, blade start with “man-present” protection against accidental start-up, low voltage controls, key operated main switch.
• Possibility of calibrating the mechanical stops at 0°, 45° and 60° left, the balancing springs, the hinge pin and the bow’s perpendicular position to ensure cutting precision remains constant in time.
